CAMP4 Therapeutics announced it received Clinical Trial Application (CTA) approval from European Union regulatory authorities to initiate its Phase 1/2 ASCEND clinical trial of CMP-002 for SYNGAP1-related disorder. This approval follows clearances from the United Kingdom, Australia, and Argentina, expanding the global footprint of the trial.

The company anticipates dosing the first patient in Q4 2026. CMP-002 is designed to increase SYNGAP1 gene expression and restore protein levels in patients with this rare genetic disorder that currently has no approved disease-modifying treatments.
