While Pacifico and Victoria showed strong growth (20% and mid-teens respectively), Modelo and Corona faced headwinds. Management projects second-half beer margins of 34.5%-35.5% amid higher marketing costs and seasonal weakness.

The beverage-alcohol industry is positioned for growth through innovation in ready-to-drink cocktails, low/no-alcohol offerings, and Gen Z engagement strategies. However, tariffs on imported materials and persistent softness in alcohol consumption pose margin pressures. Leading players like Anheuser-Busch InBev, Diageo, Constellation Brands, Brown-Forman, and Molson Coors are well-positioned to capitalize on premiumization and portfolio diversification trends.

Constellation Brands reported better-than-expected Q2 earnings with 6% organic revenue growth, but underlying weakness emerged as Corona and Modelo depletions declined 5% and 2% respectively. However, smaller brands Pacifico (up 19%) and Victoria (up 15%) showed strong growth, helping the company gain 0.8% overall market share. The wine and spirits segment also delivered strong growth through portfolio repositioning toward premium brands.
