JazzCash, Pakistan's leading digital financial services platform and VEON subsidiary, won the Silver Award in the Banking-InsurTech category at Money20/20 USA 2026 for its Sehat+ health insurance platform. The platform serves 2.38 million active customers and has issued 27.7 million policies, bringing affordable insurance to Pakistan's informal workforce. JazzCash also became a finalist in the Strategic Alliance & Partnership category for its role in government welfare disbursements.

VEON and Starlink Mobile announced that over 11 million unique VEON customers have connected to the direct-to-device satellite service in less than a year across Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Bangladesh. The service enables connectivity in areas without cell signal, with potential to reach over 40 million people across VEON's markets.

VEON Ltd. shares surged 6.6% to close at $73.97 following the announcement that Kazakhstan customers can now access Starlink Mobile for connectivity in areas without terrestrial coverage. The company expects strong quarterly earnings of $1.95 per share (+71.1% YoY) and revenues of $1.31 billion (+17% YoY). However, unchanged earnings estimate revisions over the past 30 days suggest caution about sustained momentum.
